Working together through COVID-19
The outbreak and continued evolution of Coronavirus (COVID-19) is causing not only market dislocation, but underlying health concerns among our community, family and friends. Ellerston Capital has a clear commitment to look after our clients’ interests first, along with the health and well-being of our staff members. We are working diligently to make sure we are well prepared and that our plans are flexible enough to pivot as required. We regularly reassess the situation, share best practices and we have adequate resources to allow us to navigate through these challenging times, whilst staying focused on delivering on our investment strategy and objectives for our clients.
Ellerston has robust business continuity plans in place
We are confident that our business is able to deal with the current disruptions we all face. We already have implemented robust business continuity measures to maintain resilience for our business and protect the health and well-being of our staff, clients and guests. Our Sydney and Melbourne offices continue to be fully operational in a remote working capacity, with the exception of a small number of personnel for operational reasons. Ellerston Capital employees working remotely have secure and full access to our systems, are working normal business hours and are fully contactable at all times. Those few people working in the office are observing the social distancing policy outlined by the government. In addition, we have undertaken discussions with our external, material service providers and are comfortable that they too are able to meet their service provision obligations to Ellerston Capital without disruption.
We have also introduced a travel ban on all non-essential travel, both internationally and domestically, for our employees. This has been accompanied by restrictions on external people visiting any office of Ellerston Capital, with requests that all external face-to-face meetings now be undertaken by either video or tele-conference until further notice.
