Ellerston Asia Portfolio Manager, Mary Manning, was invited by Bloomberg yesterday to discuss her investment strategy amid the volatile trade war tensions.

Ellerston Capital’s Asia portfolios are oriented towards domestic demand economies and domestic demand stocks with a focus on countries like India, that are out of the trade war fray, and consumer and financial sectors that are largely not impacted by the specifics of the trade war within northern Asian countries, such as China.

Mary also worked as an investment analyst at Soros Fund Management in New York, the investment vehicle of George Soros. She focussed on investments in the financial sector in the US, Asia, including Japan and Europe.

Mary has a PhD in Economics from the University of Sydney, an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University Of Calgary, Canada.
