John joined Ellerston in 2024 and has over 14 years of financial markets experience. Before joining Ellerston, John covered large cap listed Australian equities at Investors Mutual Limited. Prior to that he spent almost a decade covering global and South African listed equities at Coronation Fund Managers and Allan Gray, two of the largest fund managers in South Africa. Before working in capital markets, John worked in the biopharma industry.
John is a CFA Charterholder and holds an MBA from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business. He also holds a master’s degree in Genetics and undergraduate degree in molecular biology from the University of Stellenbosch.
