Michael joined Ellerston Capital in 2025 and has over 15 years’ experience in Australia’s private markets as an investor and former M&A adviser.
At Ellerston, Michael is responsible for leading the origination, execution and management of direct investments as well as fundraising activities. He has deep expertise in the technology sector and is an experienced non-executive board director.
Prior to joining Ellerston, Michael was a senior executive at IFM Investors in the Private Equity division. He was involved in a number of IFM’s technology investments across their Growth Fund I & II including Genie Solutions, Payapps and Tally Group, as well as the LBO of PRP Diagnostic Imaging in the Long Term Private Capital Fund.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Commerce (Corporate Finance) with Honours from the University of Adelaide. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants which he completed earlier in his career whilst at Ernst & Young.
